After starting her career training as a nurse, moving into commerce and completing an MBA, Nikki spent the majority of her career designing and managing large HIV clinical, psychosocial, and palliative-care programmes across subSaharan Africa — work that sharpened her systems thinking, cultural sensitivity, and calm leadership style. More recently, a UK certification as an end-of-life doula aligned these skills with her belief in the power of meaningful human connection.

As an end-of-life doula, Nikki provides support to individuals through serious illness, death and bereavement, breathing life into conversations and supporting intimacy at end of life. She focuses working with young adults, youth and children with terminal illness, and with young families facing a parental terminal diagnosis. Her services include age-appropriate guidance, legacy work, family coaching, practical death planning, bedside companionship and coordination with clinical and community teams.

Committed to open communication and the exploration of death, Nikki champions autonomy and a patient-centred approach that honours family and community.

She accepts referrals and self-referrals across Cape Town and surrounds, with in-person consultations preferable.
